Within the Assess Plus project, work is ongoing into the development of content for ASSESS PLUS Virtual Campus (IO2). This process will create a structured set of innovative Training contents and Practical Activites on Skills Audits in Adult Education, developed on the basis of the European Framework of Competences (IO1).

INQS is responsible for learning unit 1, which outlines Knowing and applying the legislative framework and background of skills audit

There are a great many different tools that may be used to gather data required for an effective skills audit. These could include online or digital questionnaire, physical or online interviews (which may be recorded), submission of documents, eportfolios, etc. Regardless of the tools you use, a key consideration for any and all of them will be your responsibilities re GDPR .

GDPR stands for “General Data Protection Regulation” and is an EU law on data protection and privacy. In particular, it outlines rules for the protection of personal data and a company’s responsibilities to process, store, retain, etc an individual’s data. It is an important element for skills audits because any skills audit may require one to gather, process and store data from the participant(s) in the skills audit.

The EU data protection website can help to provide information on EU requirements related to GDPR – https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection_en
