FungiPreneurs – WP3 results

The objective of the FungiPreneurs project is to support the social inclusion of vulnerable groups in rural areas through environmental awareness about the importance of fungi for the ecosystems and the marketable value of mycological resources, promoting behaviour change, green skills development and responsible and sustainable social entrepreneurship.

The project features a fantastic consortium, with partners from ECM Ingenieria Ambiental (Spain), Disruptia (Spain), META4 (Austria), Mindshift – Talent Advisory (Portugal), and Centre For Social Innovation – CSI (Cyprus)

Within the project, content development is ongoing across all partners. As INQS is developing content for WP3 – around roadmapping for mycology and social entrepreneurship, we thought that we would share some of the developed content with you.

Roadmapping

Roadmapping as a methodology helps organisations navigate complex challenges and uncertainty by providing a structured framework for setting objectives, making informed decisions, and adapting to changes in the business landscape. It is a dynamic tool that supports long-term planning and strategic alignment within an organisation.

There is not specific set approach that can be applied to any and all roadmapping processes, but these may include some or many of the following elements:
Goal Setting:

  • The process typically begins with defining clear and specific goals or objectives. These goals can be related to product development, project management, technology adoption, or any other area where planning and strategic alignment are essential.
    Environmental Analysis:
  • Organisations conduct a thorough analysis of their internal and external environments. This includes assessing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) to understand their current position and the challenges and opportunities they face.
    Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Identifying and engaging with key stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and partners, is crucial in roadmapping. Their input and feedback are valuable for creating a roadmap that aligns with the organisation’s overall vision and satisfies stakeholder expectations.
    Prioritisation:
  • Based on the identified goals and stakeholder input, organisations prioritize initiatives, projects, or strategic actions. This step helps ensure that resources are allocated efficiently and that the most critical activities are addressed first.
    Timeline Development:
  • A roadmap includes a timeline that outlines when specific initiatives or milestones are expected to be achieved. This timeline provides a structured view of how the organisation plans to progress toward its goals over time.
