The IDEAL project has now (sadly) come to a conclusion. The project had intended to raise active participation of language teachers to strive towards becoming more digitally competent and to make use of digital pedagogical approaches and methodologies, as well as innovative tools and resources developed to effectively face the emerging trends in the education process.
To this end, the project has developed a wide range of resources, including:
- Research and needs analysis on the mapping of content for digitally competent language teachers
- A profile of a European Digitally Competent Language Teacher which combines the needs of the Digital Competence of Educators, 2017, which is organized into six areas with the new requirements laid out in the CEFR with new descriptors.
- A self-assessment tool to help teachers identify areas of strengths and weaknesses
- A searchable database with over 120 tutorials on the use of digital tools for language teaching and learning purposes
Innoquality Systems would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the IDEAL partners – including partners from Spain, Poland, France, Italy, Hungary – and in particular the project coordinators VHS Cham for their enthusiastic and hugely enjoyable work on the project. The results are hugely practical, innovative and ultimately will speak for themselves.
