It is my great pleasure introduce our latest project Learn and Play funded by the Bulgarian national agency.  The partnership is lead by “Anton Trashimirov” Primary School (Pleven, Bulgaria), Education Cooperation Foundation (Sofia, Bulgaria), INFODEF (Spain), The Governership of Istanbul (Turkey) and La Bien Paga (Spain). Here at INQS we were intrigued to learn of the wealth of expertise represented by the partnership. The project outputs will include a training curriculum and interactive online resource and a a set of diagnostic tools and guidelines to help prepare emergent readers be as ready as possible for 1st class. The project hopes through its efforts and outputs to help tackle the social inclusion of children whose households maintain a different at home language and ultimately prevent them for early school leaving by improving reading skills which are directly correlated with a lack of academic achievement and success.
