We are delighted with the progress we are making on the excellent Erasmus+ project RENOUVAL (https://renouval-project.eu/) which aims to design new training pathways in craft sectors based on intergenerational learning, putting in contact craft professionals with low-qualified young adults in order to offer, to both of them, new opportunities for the up-skilling and validation of competencies, supported by accessible and easy to use digital tools, including gamebased learning apps and multimedia tools, like video tutorials and video case studies.
As part of the project, we have had our noses buried in research related to intergenerational learning and have come across some really interesting resources for same! One fantastic resource we found is Enabling Intergenerational Learning (2020) by the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA – @nalaireland), which includes a comprehensive literature review which covers a history of family literacy, findings from national and international research and an outline of relevant policy.
