INTREP – Project update

Kick-off meeting in Spain

The world is becoming increasingly diverse, with people from different cultures and religions living and working together in a variety of contexts. While this presents many opportunities for collaboration and cooperation, it can also create challenges and tensions that need to be addressed. One way to address these challenges is through social innovation and entrepreneurship, which can foster a more inclusive and equitable society.

In June 2022, a project kick-off meeting was held in Valladolid, bringing together partner organisations from all across Europe to discuss how to foster social innovation and entrepreneurship in intercultural and interreligious contexts. The partner organisations include Le Monde des Possibles, La Bien Pagá Espacio Escénico, the Government of Istanbul, KIST-Consult, Iasis, and Centrul Pentru Promovarea Invatarii Permanente.

This project aims to address some of the key challenges facing intercultural and interreligious communities, such as social exclusion, discrimination, and lack of access to opportunities. By fostering social innovation and entrepreneurship, the project partners hope to create new and innovative solutions to these challenges, and to support the development of a more inclusive and equitable society.

The project kick-off meeting in Valladolid was an important first step in this process, bringing together experts and stakeholders from around the world to share their ideas and insights. Over the course of the project, the partner organisations will work together to develop and implement a range of initiatives and activities, including training programs, workshops, and networking events.

Ultimately, this project has the potential to make a real difference in the lives of people from diverse backgrounds, by creating new opportunities for social innovation and entrepreneurship in intercultural and interreligious contexts. By working together and sharing their expertise and experience, the partner organisations involved in this project can help to build a more inclusive and equitable society, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
