The PreventMI project aims to:
1/ develop and extend the competences of youth workers in their work to prevent radicalisation among migrant youth,
2/ provide young migrants with access to quality and inclusive education tailor-made to their individual needs,
3/ encourage stakeholders to establish a network and community of practice on preventing migrant youth radicalisation.
The PreventMI project consortium met in Athens last week for the second transnational meeting. Thank you to IASIS NGO for their wonderful hosting and to all partners for a very productive meeting.
We are excited to have established the PreventMI learning units and are now working on defining the learning outcomes for each learning unit, with a focus on emotional intelligence, transformative learning and roadmapping methodology to prevent radicalisation.
The PreventMI training content will develop Youth Workers knowledge of the radicalisation process and risk factors of susceptibility, transversal skills and competences that can be applied to help prevent radicalisation and the promotion of social inclusion and understanding within the community.
As well as a Training Curriculum and Online Course, we are designing an App for migrant youth based on gamification and roadmapping and a Toolkit for Youth Workers.
All resources and tools will be available for free and flexible learning as Open Educational Resources.
