The Ecoteach project is focused on developing, testing and adopting innovative practices and new curricula, courses, learning materials and tools for the acquisition of skills and competences in science and maths for disadvantaged schools and students through effective and innovative teaching and assessment models of Environment-Based Learning.

The project aims to do so by development of a range of useful resources for teachers, students and schools, including a Matrix of Competencies, a virtual classroom and guidelines and toolkits for mainstreaming.

INQS is delighted to be working on this project alongside the Directorate of Secondary Education of Lasithi (DSEL) from GREECE, DISRUPTIA, S.L.U from Spain, Plataforma HABITAT from Spain and the Governorship of Istanbul (GOI) from Turkey.

The project recently held a meeting in Gran Canaria on January 29th 8th. The partners discussed the ongoing process for the project, including the project management and running, the risk and evaluation elements, dissemination and sustainability of the project – as well as the ongoing development of a range of project resources, including the (ECVET) Learning Outcomes Framework on teaching science and maths through EBL for disadvantaged schools and students and the ECOTEACH Virtual Classroom.
