INQS were thrilled to participate in the AGREEN GAMBIA Kick-off meeting in The Gambia on the 15th April 2026 alongside our project partners from The Gambia (The Ministry of Youth & Sport, Gambia Startup Chamber of Commerce and The Gambia College), Spain (INFODEF – Institute for the Promotion of Development & Training) and Croatia (Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek). The meeting covered the project objectives, work packages and deliverables, as well as management procedures, quality control & evaluation, and dissemination.

On Thursday, the project team conducted a site visit to better understand the local TVET and agricultural landscape and on Friday, the AGREEN GAMBIA project was officially launched. During the launch, the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Lamin Camara, stated that, “AGREEN Gambia represents hope and a sustainable future, equipping our youth with the skills needed to drive climate-smart agriculture and national development.”

Additionally, European Union Deputy Head of Mission Raphaël Brigandi noted that, “This initiative is about strengthening skills, creating opportunities, and ensuring young Gambians can actively participate in a sustainable and growing economy.” With a focus on climate-smart agriculture, digital learning, and practical skills development, the AGREEN GAMBIA project seeks to better prepare young people for the demands of today’s job market.
We are excited to be involved in the AGREEN GAMBIA project and would like to sincerely thank our hosts in The Gambia for providing such a welcoming and productive start to the project.
