FLIPPMI Project Update

Capacity Building Session in Ierapetra, Crete, May 10-12th, 2023

On 10-12 May 2023, a Capacity Building meeting was held in Ierapetra, Greece, to discuss the progress of a project being conducted by various organizations. The meeting took place at the Ierapetra City Council Hall.

The first day of the meeting started with a reception of partners, followed by a project management update by the project coordinator Mondes des Possibles from Belgium. The agenda included discussing the timeline, tasks, and to-do list of the project, administrative details, and analyzing the 2nd dissemination report. This was followed by a brief review of the Matrix of Competencies, conducted by La Bien Pagá.

The partners then defined the actual objectives of this Capacity Building Session. This was essential since this session serves as a role model for capacity building sessions to take place by the piloting organizations on national level.

Later on, INFODEF conducted an extensive training session on the use of FLIPPMI Online Campus. The participants were trained how to access and use the learning platform and the e-learning courses developed by the partners.

On the beginning of the second day all partners used the FLIPPMI Online Campus and reviewed it. The feedback was discussed immediately in order to make necessary adjustment before moving on to the piloting and practical implementation of this platform.

After a coffee break, GOI presented the beta version of the Practical Activities Set (PR3) and provided training on how to apply this practical tool in educational contexts by project users with beneficiaries. This was followed by a demonstration of the practical activities.

On the last day were given a demonstration of an activity from PR3, followed by feedback from all the activities that constituted PR3. This was followed by a discussion on the general organization of the piloting phase and the evaluation tool, conducted by INFODEF.

In conclusion, the Capacity Building meeting in Ierapetra, Greece, provided a forum to discuss the progress of the project and receive training the FLIPPMI Online Campus and the Practical Activities Set as well as a review of all tasks and project results developed so far. The meeting ended with a closing remark by the hosts from the Directorate of Secondary Education of Lasithi underlining the successful completion of the .
