Mifamily Poster displayed at conference

The Mifamily project is currently offering e-learning training for teachers, educators and volunteers working or supporting education for migrant children, to help strengthen the integration of students from migrant backgrounds in to the host country’s school settings and to support children’s success in education by providing training, coaching and guidance to their parents by using family learning methods and resources to overcome language and cultural barriers and foster active involvement of migrant parents in their children’s schooling.

As part of this, a poster about the project and its developed outputs was recently displayed at a local conference in Cork based around Teaching and Learning for Social Justice. as part of a National Forum project SPEEDS. The Symposium took place in UCC on May 9th and was well-attended with participants travelling from our partner institutions across Ireland and abroad. The conference proved a timely focus for discussion and an excellent opportunity to showcase work done on the Mifamily Project to date
